Intents & Purposes is a weekly public affairs and eclectic music public radio program on KCSB 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara, Calif. with hosts Levi C. Maaia and Timothy A. Grigsby, both students in the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Each week Intents & Purposes features local ingenuity, expertise and research through conversation and commentary with thinkers and doers on the UC Santa Barbara campus, in the community, throughout California and beyond.

Levi and Tim also spotlight art, culture and music from all corners of the U.S. and around the globe including the show’s original theme music by the San Diego-based band Shock and Awe. RadioIP.org brings you a live on-air audio stream on Tuesday mornings, and podcast archives of the show with details about the guests and the music. Intents & Purposes broadcasts from the studios of KCSB 91.9 FM at the base of Storke Tower on the campus of UCSB.  KCSB’s signal reaches as far north as San Luis Obispo and as far south as parts of Los Angeles County (FM signal coverage map).
